Meet our Board
Treasurer and Founding Board member, Hal Wynne was born in San Diego. Together with his wife, Cynthia, they have three sons. A Vietnam veteran, Mr. Wynne holds a B.A. in Business from George Mason University and an M.S. in Finance from George Washington University. Over his 37-year career with the Federal Government, his work focused on budget formulation and execution. Upon retirement, Hal and Cynthia relocated from Northern Virginia to Charleston, South Carolina, where he is an active volunteer with local food banks and the South Carolina Aquarium.
Johanna Wynne is President of the Drew Wynne Foundation Board and the wife of Brian Wynne, Drew’s brother. A retired U.S. Army intelligence officer and strategist, she is currently pursuing her M.A. in Design for Health at The University of Texas at Austin, where she explores how thoughtful design can improve lives and strengthen the systems that support them. Johanna is passionate about building connections, shaping healthier futures, and creating spaces where individuals and communities thrive. Johanna lives in Austin, Texas, with Brian and their two children.
Brian Wynne, Drew's eldest brother, is a founding board member and first president of the Drew Wynne Foundation. He played a central role in the family's advocacy following Drew's tragic passing, helping bring national attention to the dangers of methylene chloride and driving efforts toward meaningful policy change. Professionally, Brian is a seasoned Talent Acquisition Manager with nearly 20 years of experience building and leading high-performing teams across industries. He brings that same people-first mindset to his work with the foundation. Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Brian now lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Johanna, and their two children, John and Brooke.
Clayton Wynne, Drew's older brother, is the co-owner of Lowcountry Kettle Potato Chips, South Carolina's first locally made potato chip company, which he helped launch in 2016. A graduate of Coastal Carolina University, Clayton brings entrepreneurial energy and a grounded sense of purpose to the Drew Wynne Foundation, where he supports the mission of advancing his brother's legacy of resilience and community impact. Clayton lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with his wife, Caroline.
Bobby Collins brings more than four decades of leadership experience in the insurance industry and nonprofit governance to the Drew Wynne Foundation. Before retiring in 2020, he served as Senior Vice President of Member Engagement and later Senior Advisor at the PURE Group of Insurance Companies, based in Charleston, South Carolina. A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Business Administration, Bobby has also served as Past Board Chair for both the Actors Theatre of Louisville and the North Carolina Outward Bound School, reflecting his deep commitment to community, education, and the arts. He remains an active advocate for organizations that build character, leadership, and connection.
Phil Falzone is the newest member of the Drew Wynne Foundation's board. A Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York and South Carolina, Phil has operated a private practice since 1986, specializing in tax preparation, investment guidance, and financial planning for individuals and businesses. He brings deep expertise in the financial needs of tax-exempt organizations, with a particular focus on fire service and EMS nonprofits — a specialty shaped by his own 50 years of service as a volunteer firefighter. Phil has also served as secretary, treasurer, and president for two condominium boards, rounding out a long track record of civic engagement and financial stewardship.

Chris Derby grew up in Alexandria, VA, where he met Drew and the entire Wynne family. Chris and Drew were Little League teammates, junior golf partners, and best friends from a young age. Now Director of Product at Jones Sports Company, Chris lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Maddy, and their son, Cameron.
Patrick Gillin is a Managing Director at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL), where he leads the firms Consumer & Residential Services coverage. Patrick and Drew were close friends, roommates and fraternity brothers during their time at the University of Kentucky, and he has remained a steadfast supporter of the Foundation since its inception. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Kentucky. He lives in New Orleans with his wife Kelly (who had a front row seat of the Drew experience for four years during her time at UK) and their four children, Margot, Wynne, Reid and Mae.
Andrew Dorin is proud to serve on the Drew Wynne Foundation Board and support entrepreneurs as they navigate the challenges of starting and growing successful businesses. He believes the Foundation’s mission—investing in human resilience—is more important than ever in today’s dynamic and often challenging economy. Professionally, Andrew is a Senior Principal at Google Cloud, helping organizations innovate and transform with AI and cloud technology. A Chicago resident, he is a father to two daughters and loves exploring the outdoors and traveling with his family.

Steve Colangelo is a commercial real estate developer in the Washington, D.C. area with over 20 years of experience managing complex projects. He holds an M.S. in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia. A lifelong friend of the Wynne family, Steve is deeply committed to the Foundation’s mission and looks forward to contributing for years to come. He lives in Alexandria with his wife and two sons.
Ollie Patton brings more than 40 years of experience in business journalism, having served as a reporter, correspondent, and editor covering major developments across industries and markets. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to clear communication, thoughtful analysis, and connecting people through stories that matter. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ollie has been deeply engaged in community service—serving on the Alexandria Country Day School Board and volunteering with Meals on Wheels in Alexandria, Virginia. A devoted husband and father, he and his spouse, Biz Van Gelder, have two children, Will and Annie Patton.
Cindy Wynne is Drew, Clayton and Brian’s mother and the heart of the Drew Wynne Foundation. Cindy has served as the foundation's lead advisor since its inception — and remains the driving force that keeps it all going. Following Drew's passing in 2017, with her family by her side, Cindy became a fierce advocate for banning methylene chloride, partnering with national organizations, meeting with EPA leadership and members of Congress, and helping drive a campaign that led to major retailers pulling the deadly products from their shelves. She brings that same tireless resolve to the foundation every day, ensuring Drew's legacy continues to lift up the next generation of entrepreneurs. Cindy lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with her husband, Hal.
